Tell us about yourself:
Hello world, I like to create cool stuff. I write, direct, and produce feature films, shoot movies, music videos, and all sorts of things, do visual effects compositing, edit feature films, and trailers and take epic photographs. I love creating visual art and telling stories with images. I am also an entrepreneur and the co-founder/creator of the company taking the movie theater world by storm… Movie Heroes and the film company Movie Heroes Studios. My most recent film I produced The Astronaut was just accepted into Cannes Short Film Corner and a Steampunk inspired Scifi film project I am involved with, Aether: Prologue, is gearing up and making waves around the nation. I currently have 9 feature scripts I would like to launch into production and am also seeking side work as a camera man, photographer, editor, cinematographer, writer, compositor, director, and producer. I am currently also accepting live event projects due to providing for my family after unexpected medical costs. I have won many awards for my work and put everything I am into every project I am involved with. Watch the examples of my work to see what I am all about.

Need me? Contact me and let’s work together.

Stricken is taking shape

Out from the dark recesses of Hard drive space, Stricken is rising into a true shape finally. I am 43 minutes into the rough cut and moving at a rapid pace. Once the rough cut is complete it will be time to finesse the sequence and head toward the locked cut.

Well, the "Director's Secrets" Workshop went Great. We filled up the 20 spots and overflowed a bit. I covered Inneffective vs. Effective Acting, What I look for in an audition and how to succeed in any audition, How to get cast again and again, The #1 Mistake Actor's Make, How to Set your Characters Free using the Fishtail method. Extremely good stuff. If you missed the workshop, I will be having another one soon. Contact Carollyn DeVore to see when. Here are some comments I recieved from the people who attended:

"Best acting class ever-and my major was drama. Matt provided solid, memorable tools we can take home and use and gave use great references. Thanks Matt!"-Louise Cleveland

"Loved your class!! Needed very much to hear about fishtail! Helps greatly, putting everything in order! Thanks!" -Rhonda Hedegaard

I thought the workshop was very informative. Matt was very prepared for the class and gave excellent advice for auditioning techniques. Best workshop yet! Thanks! P.S. Very impressed with Matt's knowledge."
