Writers' Forums/Meetings

I'm wondering if there are any get-togethers for writers in town who write (or at least try to write) screenplays, plays, TV, sketches, or anything like that? Or even just talking about well-written movies and such? Whatchya think?

Definitely a good idea. I have many, many ideas, but don't have the know how to get it all on paper. This might be a great way to collaborate on a project.

jim i am new to this but I also feel That I could come up with some good Ideas like wendy snyder wich I have a few already please email me at davmarti11@yahoo.com and I can send you some ideas that i was thinking of I do not know if their good but the way I picture it in my mind I think they would work. I don't live in Fresno, but my family does. The only time I'm there is during holidays or special events. I will be there this Thursday at the mixer -- my first one ever since joining FFA. I would be happy to participate in this, so long as I get a heads up.

I am interested as well. I've been working on putting together a Screenwriters' Group (like a critique group) and have a few folks interested. I teach screenwriting and do coverage, but this would be for me as a writer and for other writers to share their work, their roadblocks, their successes.
