Hi Troops - Willy - I agree with you and everyone - water should be supplied on all
sets - however I do tell my clients to take water with them...snacks....etc...Just incase
they need them. Here - as in Hollywood - with professional ad agencies - and films
coming in we have last minute cancellations, changes in Scripts...shoot days....etc...
Sometimes an Ad Agency or Film will change a scene- age of actor - at the
last minute or "cut" a scene out of their shoot....
We had four adults booked for a local job on Friday - one family had to change
flight plans for a family vacation - and on Thursday late afternoon - the local
ad agency cancelled the shoot till after the 4th of July. We have no control of it.
( Since they are not Union )
Actors and Models have to re-schedule - it's more work for everyone - but it
happens - So not only does this happen in Hollywood- but everywhere -
I tell all the Film Makers about how well you treat actors - and your "deferred"
pay" for them when the Film sells. ( Student films - don't have deferred pay
( at least I have never heard of that ) or Film Trailers. I remember the actors
picking up their checks from you from "Hot Rod Horror" and they were so
pleased to get paid for their time on your set. You are the best Willy &
Terri too - ( Some Trailers are SAG - so if they are the actor get's paid )
There were student filmmakers from LA yesterday at Bass Lake - small crew -
a few actors - and it was warm - I had two 24 packs of water in my truck -
My husband who is a FIlm Location Scout and I went to day hello -
and gave them the waters - they were almost out - and they were so excited
We told them about the FFA website - They were from the Bay Area -
I have two or more Actors on the "Biohazard" film - and have not heard
anything negative - they had a great time - Linda Hernandez - who heads
up my Hispanic Division - brought water on the set for Actors - she even
brought her own Chair when I cast our local Actors on "Indiana Jones" not
knowing that the big film companies - bring everything - so I ended up
with her great chair from Chuckansai Casino - YEA...
Hope everyone had a great 4th of July....all of you are so dedicated to
our film community - and we want it to be the best.
If your coming to Matt Sconce's "Stricken" premire Friday night - bring
me 2 headshots and resumes for our casting files...See you there.
If you came to my studio for "Finding Hope Now" last summer - I
don't have your photo or resume - so bring me 2 PLEASE....
